Traditional Thai massage techniques aim to relieve certain health problems such as tight and painful muscles, joints and tendons, improve their condition and increase their mobility and flexibility. Massages stimulate the blood and lymphatic circulator systems and contribute to improved immunity of the organism.
If you seek relaxation, but belong to those who panic even when thinking about pain however small it may be, try our oil relaxation massage during which gentle pressure is applied on acupressure points. Thus, you will enjoy systematic care from the top of your head, through your neck and spine to your lower back muscles that is appreciated not only by people with sedentary jobs. Massage of arms and legs down to fingers and toes is extremely pleasurable. While working your feet, the masseuse stimulates reflex zones that correspond to the internal organs and, by doing that, harmonizes and fosters their activity. Only special 100% natural massage oils with mind relaxing aroma essence oils are used for Thai oil massage. The range of massages we offer is highlighted by the Thai royal massage enhanced by an ancient method. It consists in applying hot herbal compresses to the spots of the body where all energy flows. Good preparation is required for each massage session. Stiff, tight and painful parts of your body will be first warmed up by a mixture of herbs blended according to ancient formulae. And then, surrounded by sounds of soothing relaxation music, just enjoy the treatment that is so healing for your body and mind.
Nuat Phen Boran is an ancient art originally taught by a teacher – apprentice method in Thai Buddhist temples. It soon gained popularity and spread throughout the world, and of course in our country too, becoming a recognized technique for promoting good health. In its traditional form, this original set of techniques differs from the European approach not only in the application method, but also in the fact that it is performed on a dressed body without using any oils or massage emulsions. It does not focus superficially on kneading soft tissues, but affects energy centres (chakras) and blocked energy channels (meridians) by means of palpation (pressing of points), bending and stretching. Using their thumbs, palms, forearms and knees, masseurs (in our spa usually masseuses) apply pressure to release tension in the client’s body, remove blocks and enhance the flow of energy and this has positive impacts on the client’s health and state of mind. There are two styles of Thai massage: Northern style and Southern style. Distinguished by more forceful approach and focus on stretching techniques, the Southern style is taught mainly at the Wat Pho temple in Bangkok, while the slower and gentler Northern style with more emphasis on work with energies comes from Chiang Mai. Compared to us Europeans, Thais are generally much more susceptible to touching. This results from their exposure to natural education. Moreover, they usually apply themselves to massage since their young age and then develop their skills in some of the local accredited schools.
